Have searched high and low locally their not a single piece to be had.. the whole idea in chambering 308 was its readily available and easy to obtain components as well as factory ammo. Deff a abundance of ready made but this is the game I played when loading. 50beowulf and its gay.. 308 brass should be everywhere for such a common caliber... Ida went 338 lapua if I knew it was gonna be just as hard to build 308 but theirs tons of 338lm components to be had.. just venting.. open to suggestions and links of instock brass..

Most of GI Brass brass is machine gun fired, from my experience. A small base die fixed it for me.
Sometimes he will have pull down Winchester brass, unfired.
When he has that, BUY BIG.

Usually when i find 308 brass its at my top dollar to buy it. Every now and then there is someone just looking for a little cash, then jump on it. I guess you have to be on the right gun website at the right time. Good luck on your search for brass.

Is Hornady brass good for reloading compared to Lake City or any other kind? I don't hear a lot of people talking about using it.

Hornady is kinda soft but it works. Lapua is my go to, but I'll use hornady, even Winchester if i can't get my go to.

I have about 200 rounds of Hornady once fired brass that I am going to start reloading. If I change from Hornady to Lapua or Lake City will that affect my loads once I get a good one with the Hornady? Don't mean for this thread to get off topic.

I bought 1500 pcs of once fired Black Hills brass from Paul McCoy at Texas shooters. It was all once fired from bolt or precision Semi's. If I recall it was a heck of deal. Email Paul and check availability.

I bought some Black Hills that was crimped. A bitch to uncrimp and primes sort of hard, even with Winchester Primers, but shoots fine and I imagine pockets will stay tight for many rounds.

I could tell you from whom I get my 20 cents a piece Hornady Match once fired .308, but then I'd have to kill you.
He ships me 500 at a time every few weeks. I hope he hangs in there a little while longer.
