I have been hand loading for a .308 REMINGTON 40 XS 1:12 twist in a 24” .The load I'm using is once fired Lapua brass,168 gr. Sierra Match King Bullets ,42 grains of Vith. n-140 and CCI BR-2 primers, COAL 2800. I don't think the bullet is stabilizing through the air because the hole that it's creating is slightly large, I have gotten 1/2 MOA @ 100 yards with this load. I have tried many hand loads through this gun including 168 gr. Sierra bullets and IMR 4064 powder. Any tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Loads for the 40x must be developed the same as anyother rifle, no secrets to it. The twist should be good fast enough for that bullet weight. Half MOA accuracy is about as good as those rifles usually get with a factory barrel in .30 caliber.
