.308 Hornady-168 gr Amax...1in12 twist help???????

Just got some Hornady 168 grain hpbt Amax. 1 in 12 twist is printed on the box. can somebody explain this to me. I'm shooting a 1 in 10 twist. What will be the results??????Thanks

I shot them in a 10 twist and they work great. Usually the numbers on the box are the minimum twist so a faster twist will work fine.

1 in 12 twist is the twist rate Hornady thinks they should work best at. Usually nothing with a slower twist rate would staiblize them.

+1, these bullets will produce fine accuracy out of 1:10 twist barrels.

I use them in 1 in 10 twist no problem, works fine in both.

I started with those when I started reloading. 10 twist never failed me
