I am getting back into reloading after a3 year hiatus and decided to roll up some for my LTR. Some of my notes indicate a 2.905" COAL but some loaded rounds I found for a buddys 700 are 2.845". I searched here back thru the achives for an old post of mine on this topic but couldnt find it. All the loads in the depot for 308 appear to be short of 2.9". I know the remmys have a long throat but before I start seating bullets I wanted to be sure I wasnt smoking crack when I was making notes 3-5 years ago about my hand loads. Anyone? 2.905" for .308 LTR plausible?

Normal for Remington's. Even with a 175 Sierra my COAL is over 2.910" in my SPS Varmint. I have a SPS Tactical barrel that's the same way.

2.965" w/ a 168 vld to be jammed in mine. Guess it depends on the bullet profile. Smk is shorter. Don't have my data but it's a good bit
