Have just picked up my PES T12 suppressor which will be going along with my Remmy 700 for rebarreling in .308 at the weekend.

The suppressor bore is 8.5mm/0.3346 inches. To my mind that seems a little tight i.e less than 1mm of clearance.

I appreciate that the most important thing is the alignment of the screw cut on the barrel.

Should I get the bore enlarged slighty? and If so what diameter would be sensible?

Thanks

Re: .308 Suppressor bore size

You would actually be fine with a smaller bore than that but your thread job would need to be done fairly well and done by someone that knows what hes at. I actually always use the smallest available bore size that I can get for any particular calibre, for example just yesterday I fitted a Reflex T8 on a .270 which only had a bore size of 7.62 which was recommended upto 6.5. Im not saying this is what guys should be doing but this is how thrue my thread work is and it works well for me.

Most I have measured were approx. .355" bore size. Be sure the muzzle threads are concentric to the bore.

The length of the suppressor is another factor to consider.
