Hi gang, been reading the posts here for a long time. This is the first time i have posted.

I need a little help. I have a 338 AI, Rifle is really nice. I am using the knight force ballistics program. I have a wind-meter etc. I have been entering all my data but i have been having some differences between what the data on the pda has and what the bullet poi mostly it is an elevation issue of about 30 inches +-

I am shooting the black hills 250 grain. I find that the data on serria website seems really lacking and does not match any thing that i am getting out of the pda, or that i am finding on the net.

Is there any one shooting the 338 at ranges 1000+ on the site.
How accurate is your drop table?
Would you mind emailing me or posting your data so that i can compare?
Also am i expecting too much out of the PDA to put in my distance, temp, wind etc, and get a good shot on target?
Also i have 300 grain bullets too so if any one has info on that i would appreciate that as well.

Thanks for all the help

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Re: 338 lapua bullet data

Is 1815 yards long enough? I just shoot the 338LM nothing fancy. I a using 250 scenars bullets and Exbal. My elevation is very much right on. How far have you reached out with your 338 AI? What kind of velocity are you pushing your 250 SMK?

Over factory recommend.

Once fired Lapua neck sized
Fed 215M Primers
VV N570
300gr Scenar's / 3.735 OAL

90 grains = 2,786 Avg.

92 grains = 2,851 Avg. this was .5 MOA

93 grains = 2,875 Avg. sign of pressure, no problem extracting

94 grains = 2,913 Avg. " "

Degrading B.C. listed on these.

Re: 338 lapua bullet data

i use a standard 338 lm and the same program as yours with 300 seirra and 300 lapuas. i just shot 1260 last week and my program was dead on. It took some shooting to get the program dialed in but once you get it it will work great. shoot it at 400 and comfirm your data then at 600 and comfirm that data and you should be ready to go. make sure your gun is shoting low ES and SD mine is single digits.
