I found good SDs from 91.0 to 92.3, will check that range again after barrel break in and pick something.I agree with Dogtown. 92+ grain is kinda high to start. Im at 90.0 gn of N570 with 300 grain Atip and 285 eld. Im also running a 30” barrel
I haven't broken mine in yet and I'm jealous. What are the wait times there?Just shipped mine out to get a new 28inch Bartlien barrel from Southern Precision Rifles
5 mosI haven't broken mine in yet and I'm jealous. What are the wait times there?
Damn, that sucks. I thought 10-12 weeks with SAC was bad last winter. The upside was they did 3 for me at same time.5 mos
Super! You’re the man. How fast did that 92.7 get you?85gr of N570 is fairly mild in this case, but if it shoots well? With a 30” barrel and that load, getting to 2800fps should be pretty easy. Over the years shooting N570 with 300s, the sweet spot seemed to be between 89-92gr. I had a very good load using 92.7gr but it was really hard on the brass.
Yes, I will suggest that to him, what would be your suggested powder and charge window?Order a new barrel when you're done with load workup, cuz you're about 500 rounds till that one is finished with n570
2500fps out of an 18” barrel. It was definitely on the ragged edge; wouldn’t run it that hard again but it served its purpose. Out of a 26” barrel most of my 300gr loads were around the 2650-2700fps range.Super! You’re the man. How fast did that 92.7 get you?
Thanks man. I’ve got 2 test paks with 570 and 568. Next after that(if needed) is Tumbo and H1000. I’ll post the results when I get them. May be a couple weeks.I'm running 300gr Nosler RDF's at 2758 with 90.0 H1000 in a 26" barrel
