338 Lapua X 3!! You gotta love it.

At least they did today. We had a great day today at the range. My buddy brought out his AI and Barrett 338 Lapuas and of course my cheapo Savage BA 110 was there as well. We had a blast dinging the mile marker. The conditions were picture perfect. Here is a pic of the three amigos

Compaired to my buddy he has about 12K in his AI and 7K in the Barrett, the 2K I have im my BA is chump change, but I tell you what, that chump change mo fo was right there shot for shot with the high $ boys!!

Not overpriced, just better. Maybe not enough to justify for some people, but better none the less.
Same as you could supe up your daily commuter car to be as fast as a real sports car, but its not the same.

I hear ya - I've been known to spend more than I had to on rifles. I'm just amazed that a $2,000 Savage is holding its own against a rifle that cost $10,000 more.

I understand, and my point exactly is this; the bullets fired from the three different guns are holding up against eachother, but a true test of the rifle would take more time and conditions to see if it actually would "hold it's own" against an AI.
