.338 LM•300gn Berger Hybrid•Retumbo

The Berger data says that 89.5 grains of Retumbo is MAX (giving me about 2670 fps out of a 26" DTA barrel) for their 300 grain OTM Tactical Hybrids, but AmmoGuide Interactive lists a 93.5 grain Retumbo load offering a nominal 2819 fps.

Has anyone explored territory above the published Berger MAX for Retumbo?

I have shot the TRG42 up to 94.5 grs Retumbo that was very accurate and was getting just a little over 2850 fps,,it was a little overboard IMO and we settled down to a load at 91 grs at 2750 and it runs very well with good case life,,this rifle with 10 twist seems to like the Scenars better also and that is all it sees anymore is Lapua brass Fed 215 and 91grs Retumbo with the 300 gr Scenar,,it really starts taking over about 11-1200 yards,,

Take Aim at Rifle Reloading Data | Hodgdon Reloading 94 grains gets you the "C" for compression (with 2654fps). I like compression loads because I believe that the powder will burn more consistently, which may give better accuracy.

I've got a lot of brass to sell you if you're paying $6/piece.

I tried the Retumbo/300OTMBerger route as well as H1000 and I could never get the Bergers to group well. Switched to SMKs and haven't looked back.
