I have found some 338 lm brass once fired from black hills . I believe that Norma makes this brass for BH . If so is this a good choice or should I just spend twice the money for lapua brass?

I don't recall if it is, or isn't. I thought in the beginning it was Lapua, but that was a while ago.

I cycle 20 Norma cases and they're a good 10 grains heavier than the Lapua cases that I use, so that's odd.

I had a Norma neck split after 2 cycles and was not happy, but the other 19 have a good 6-7 cycles on them with nary a problem.

I did a few years back and they were fairly consistent, but not exact.

The Norma were surpisingly heavier, so I'm thinking that they have a tad less case capacity, but since I load moderate rounds, I'm not too concerned.

Yeah I use mostly h1000 so capacity isn't a big deal to me but consistency of the brass is and I have heard Norma is more consistent but alot softer. I was just wondering what y'all was thinking cause I have been using cheap Hornady brass and it's horrible

I've got new Norma 7RM, 22-250 and a bunch of 1x 308 that I got off of Ebay from a Canadian match shooter 4-5 years back, but I haven't tried any of it.

I know some people hate Norma brass here stating it's soft garbage, but I can't really say. I started with 20 Norma 338LM cases almost 6 years ago and I'm down to 19, however, necks don't prematurely split due to soft brass, lol.

Norma makes good brass--I'll just leave it at that.
