Suppressors 338 ultra worth the money over ultra 9 for 28 nosler?

I have an Ultra 9 and 7 and dedicated the 7 to my 28 Nosler because it already has a 27" barrel. Plenty of suppression in my opinion. no ear protection needed but it is a hunting gun. Obviously the 338 will give more suppression as Zack said. I love my TBAC's.

Had the same question for a 300 RUM in an ultra 9 vs 338 ultra. You'll need the extra volume to shut down all that extra powder in an over bore mag.

Forgot to mention, that recommendation came from TBAC after discussing my concerns and desires for a new can. You said it's for an elr rig, so probably not an issue, but some LR hunting rifles on the market these days come with 1/2" threads on magnums (fierce comes to mind). IF that applies to your situation, recommend rethreading to at least 5/8" threads if you have the barrel diameter to do it, 3/4" is preferred

don’t have a ultra 9 pic but here’s an ultra 338 next to an Ultra 7 so you can at least see the diameter difference

Here is a video Ray put together showing the suppression levels of their Ultra line (5, 7, 9, and 338):

Based on their test rifle there is only an approximate 2-3 dB difference between the Ultra 9 and the 338 with a "hot" 300WM.
