338lapua advice

Re: 338lapua advice

Is it new, if so it's not a bad price. I'd watch the classifieds here as I have seen better prices if your willing to buy used and they usually have some upgrades.

Dude! I've heard so many problems with those rem 700's. Spend a couple hundred extra and get a Savage 110 BA .338 lapua. Now that is a gun to jump all over for the price! Good luck!

I agree with this....you don't need a Driver on a Par 3

Why kind of problems have you heard of. I had the chance on a savage, but the BA version is 5lbs heavier then the Remington.

As far as the price to feed it, I just got rid of my 300RUM, so I feel the pain of the magnum shooters (plus I'd reload anyway).

True, the Savage is a great gun, but it is a beast! Carrying the Savage 110 BA in the field is a no-go. I use my Rem 700 338lm for hunting and it works great.

And...$1500 is a little steep, just my opinion.

Here's my Rem 700 338lm on a Manners!
