338LM build finally done!

Here it is! Bobby Lawton built this for me its a 338LM, it started life with a 27" barrel but I had it cut down when I needed to rethread for the suppressor. The can is AAC Titan Gen2. My first one was warped and had to be destroyed, but AAC took care of me and got it replaced (Thanks Mike M.) it took awhile but glad I waited. The barrel is now cut down to 22". Ive only put 5 rounds thru it to hear the difference in the old can and the new gen. GAP and Manners stocks did the stock work and Moon opened up the bottom of the receiver to take the Seekins bottom metal.

I dont know WHY the first one warped. ask AAC. they are the ones that build them and EDM the thing. They cut the thread crooked and it wasnt concentric was the answer I got. But they made it right. Brand new can and they paid for my tax stamp money. Not to mention the box of goodies they sent along. Mike is a good dude to work with, he really put forth an effort to make me happy in the deal. No, it is not a Ti. Its all steel and inconel. Very quiet for such a big round. I shot subsonics thru it and its comparable to a 308 with subsonics.

Did I mention it barely moves when you shoot it? Probably has to do with it being about 19 pounds fully dressed.

About right. I was about 1 foot low and 4 inches right when shooting at 700 yards last night. Its great that the round hitting the steel is as loud as the rifle going off.

Man I'd like to see that in action. That is a sweet looking rig for sure.

Are there any shoots in your area that you know of? I'm only about 1.5 hours away from Lexington.

It will have more rounded egdes and Im pretty sure the diameter is smaller. Also when you look into the threaded hole you see a large "waffle baffle"

I still think Lawton is the best for the dollar bar none .
I have a 338 lapua in a lawton just sent it to be Bridsong finished and the rifle is a shoter for sure
