Besides the Bobro which puts the optic to high on my SR25, what other 34mm quick detach mounts have a lower above bore height. The Bobro gives me a chin weld and thats unacceptable. Are the ADM or Larues lower? I would like to keep this setup with a QD mount, can any of you guys with a Larue or ADM please measure from the bottom of the mount to ring center for me?

The GDI is absolutely out of the question. 500 for a scope mount with an 8-10 week delivery is ridiculous

The GDI is filling Govt. orders first, I have two on order that I hope to get in Aug sometime.

Re: 34mm QD mounts

I picked up an ADM AD-RECON-SL. That is "SL" for Straight (no built in relief) and Low.

As indicated on their site, measurement from bottom of mount to ring center is 1.190" on the 34 mm model.

Personally, I have the 30 mm version with a measurement of 1.110", and still wish it was a little lower. Gonna have to either install an adjustable cheekrest, or adapt to a different weld than I'm used to (not out of the question; I managed to adapt to the nonexistant weld on a AK underfolder...).

Hope that info helps.

Deadly 0311,

Look on the Larue website for the riflescope mounts. They list the height of each mount (centerline of optic to rail distance). This is often the best way to source information similar to what you are asking here. Your Bobro puts the optic centerline at 1.575" above the rail for reference (also found on their website). As previously suggested it sounds like the LT120 (1.285" above center) would be your best bet. I promise you will be more than satisfied with the price and performance of the LaRue. Bear in mind also that depending on your optic (objective size) you may have to use a taller mount like the LT111 (1.535") to get adequate clearance on the rail and/or a reasonable head position using an AR type platform like your SR-25. Call them and talk to them, they will put you right. Personally that is the only brand I would consider for QD mounts based on their attachment method and long track record of excellent results (and my personal experiences). Hope that helps.

Re: 34mm QD mounts

I love the BOBRO mounts as far as throw lever, I read that they are making a lower profile version.

I also found the 34mm to be a bit too high and used an AI 34mm mount. Not throw lever, but I liked the height and it is quick on and off and holds zero. Plus they are reasonable in price as well and has built in MOA.

Re: 34mm QD mounts

MagPul PRS stock might fix the problem. No worries about the height of your mount. Adjust and shoot.

I've got one if you'd like to try it out. Let me know bro'

Re: 34mm QD mounts

I just received a Larue LT-120 for mounting a S&B 3-20x50 on an OBR. Mounted the scope last night. Had to rotate the Tenebraex cap on the objective 90 deg because of the protruding lip on the cover. No big deal in my book. The scope w/cover just barely clears the rail. Worked out just right.

Thanks for posting. That answer my question!
