Whats everyone using for 35mm rings. Trying to find the lowest possible for a 18x MK 5 on a hunting setup. I think the lowest ive found is .95". Is there just not enough meat left on them to go lower?
I think you are correct in assuming there just isnt enough meat (or market) for a 35mm tube ring to fit a lower height ring and a small obj. I would imagine there are mostly 50-56mm obj on 35mm scopes.
FWIW Here is a 1" height with a 50mm obj. Another 3mm of gap wont look bad.

I havent checked a availability but if the scope will be dedicated to your hunting rifle, you may want to look into and consider direct mounts. That would be your lowest mounting option under your circumstances. If they exist.
