was just wondering if it's possible to neck a .416 barret down to accomodate a .375 bullet. any thoughts?

There is not a powder slow enough to make it any better than the 375 Cheytac. Come back in 10 years and just maybe......

was recently just researching the 338-408 sniper tac, which is a .408 cheytac necked down to a .338 caliber bullet. just kinda got me thinking

While your at it might as well get the 20mm that's neck down to a 50, that should be a real laser. Especially when using the 180 grain sabo rounds.

I have a couple of questions to ask you relating to your comment on the 338 Snipetac being a barrel burner.
1. Do/did you actually previously own a 338 Snipetac
2. Is so did you actually burn out the barrel.
3. Approximately how many rounds did you put through it to be such an authority on your comments relating to it being a barrel burner.
Just for the record, I happen to own a 338 Snipetac and it groups 1 & 1/4" at 550 yards (5 shot groups) and after 600 rounds it is nowhere near like being stuffed with a burned out barrel.....
Just interested in where you gained all of this experience/knowledge to be such an authority with your barrel burner comments on the 338 Snipetac.

I'll clarify, when I said "a bit of a barrel burner" I meant that you will get slightly shorter barrel life. Pushing a .338 to average velocities of 3200-3400fps will do that. Maybe you think I meant "it totally burns out barrels"?
