Registration for the 3rd annual Crucible Precision Rifle Team Match being held at the K&M Shooting Center in Finger, TN will be opening in 10 days! April 15th at noon EST on the BDS website...You will not want to miss this event!
This event will feature a primary and secondary shooter. The primary shooter should be running a rifle capable of 1/2moa accuracy. I would highly recommend a bolt gun of some sort. The secondary shooter will need a rifle capable of shooting 1moa or better. I would highly recommend a gas gun for this role. Calibers for both roles are up to the teams. A heavier bullet may help the secondary shooter on some stages while it may slow them down on others. Both shooters will need sidearms.
Expect the course of fire to challenge both team members...Stage times will be longer than what they have been in the past to allow more in-depth stages that focus around coordination between both team members. An individual will not win this match...both team members will need to be on point to have a shot at walking away with the first place trophy. Expect this match to be somewhat more physical than last years team match.
Round count:
Primery Rifle - 160 rifle rounds
Secondary Rifle - 180 (There may be 2 unlimited round count stages, ie. "hit to move on" so plan accordingly)
Pistol - 50 rounds (I would highly recommend bringing extra rounds)
Stages: 14
Max caliber: 30cal WinMag
Max velocity: 3,150fps (Competitors may be checked at random).
Big Dog Steel will be directing the match. More details will come as the course of fire is developed, but expect a fun match that will test basic marksmanship skills across a broad spectrum of stages and ranges.
Cost: Entry fee will be $220 per team member
We will be offering a train up day on Friday for team members to meet and train together. We will also have pro's walking around to help coach up newer shooters.
Train-Up Day cost will be $40 per team member.
Registration will start April 15th at noon EST. Registration will take place on the BDS website. www.bigdogsteel.com
PLEASE list your partner in the comments section when you register.
If you are a lone wolf we can more than likely pair you up with another shooter.
