Hey guys,
Sorry if this has been asked, I did a google search and didn't find much.
I'm looking to get an AR chambered in 450 BM. curious as to what manufacturers have been the best for out of the box reliability and accuracy? I am looking for a complete gun , I don't have time or the know how to build one.

Thanks

Jay

Thats why I am asking, bushmaster seems the obvious choice but I do not own any Bushmaster firearms. What is consensus on them? Are they the end all be all or is there a better option? This gun is for hunting in Michigan and Indiana, and depending on recoil may be an option for my son to shoot.

I have had a Bushmaster carbine for a while, maybe 10 years I don't shoot it much mainly because I don't have a suppressor for it, but it always works well and will flatten most anything inside of 200 yards

The .450 is a pig slammer. Or anything closer than 250yds for that matter. I've owned a bushmaster model, and fired an Olympic that was owned by a friend. Personally, I'd buy bushmaster before I bought Olympic. Last I knew, however, Olympic was making like 90+% of their own parts for AR rifles. That's more than most. And bushmaster was a lot cooler when they were here in Maine.....lol. sick round though, buy some Hornady nasty stuff and have a good time

I shot this Windham upper with their upgraded muzzel break last week:

Very nice upper. This was also the first time I shot this caliber. Awesome power! I know you want a compete rifle but really just about anyone who sells lowers should be able to provide a complete lower build for you. Hate to see you limit your options for this reason.

Bushmaster is fine, my first AR was a Bushmaster and I have a 24" Varminter that's a personal favorite. I've never had an issue with either. I'm guessing the hunting regulations up there are what has you looking for a good 450BM upper.

If you have the funds, Tromix makes great uppers in 450BM and 458Socom. They make great products that run right. The 450BM is a cool cartridge. I've built one in the past on a Mega side charging upper. But ended up selling the barrel to fund a 458Socom build that is still in the works. I live in WV so fortunately I can hunt with just about anything during rifle season. Up your way, for hunting, the 450BM definitely fits the bill.

I would say the Bushmaster upper would be just fine. I've never had the first issue with the three that I own. If you build one, beware of some of the cheaper barrels, they can have incorrect chambers. Go with Tromix or KAK, etc. and you'll be good to go if you decide to build one.

BG Defense makes a stellar rifle!!

Being in MI and 450bm being a legal deer cartridge, the store I worked at has sold quite a bit of them with no complaints and lots of praises. Saw lots of MOA or smaller cell phone pics with Hornady Black box ammo.

That being said I had a standard bushy upper for awhile before going to a bolt gun. It was a shooter as well and never had any issues with it!
