Went out to one of my favorite haunts and found this dog sleeping on a dike 900 yds. away. Crept down the low bluff i was glassing from and got to the closest rise, and set up. Leicas gave me a range of 470 and i placed the V16's 3 MOA reticle system at 2.4 units down. At the shot he rolled up all 4's in the air, and rolled back struggling to get up. He found his legs for a second or so and fell off the back of the dike. 65 SGK took him at the point of the shoulder facing me, and stayed inside. Hide wasn't any good but the tail was so i took it.

Yeah we definitely do. We both have the same "wanna' shoot coyotes at long-range with an AR" niche interest, i guess.

Reciprocity is the name of the game. I've offered, but ol' Steve insists on doing it his way. Either way, we end up getting out and having a good time, regardless of role. We have to find a way to get our mountain bikes out on some of these cow trails and two tracks to maximize our number of stands.

good job sscoyote, anytime you can put a sneak on a dog and come out victorius thats a helluva a job. To me they are the ultimate animal in north america to hunt. Smell, sight, hearing and ultimate smarts. Theres a reason wolves were wiped out and coyotes survived!!! They will truly test your skills, and you won. Congrats
