Hello sh.

I've been proposed to buy an 4x32 ACOG TA31RCO-M4CP with very reasonable price.
I think here it is : http://www.trijicon.com/na_en/products/product3.php?pid=TA31RCO-M4CP

The problem is that it has BDC reticle for .223 from 14.5" barrel.
And I've got 18.5" .308

Question - what the drop points of the reticle in MOA or MILS?
Can anyone provide reference picture?

Thank you in advance.

Re: 4x32 ACOG TA31RCO-M4CP reticle question

The BDC is based off of a 62gr 5.56 at +/-2,900 fps. I'm not sure what the actual value is between the lines is though. I think your best bet to find out how they relate to your rifle/ round would be to set a very tall target up at 100 yards, put the bull at the bottom of the target, and use each hash mark to shoot a group. Measure the distance of each group from the bulls-eye; that is how many inches that has mark will bring your impact up. Now all you have to do is apply that info to the appropriate distance to achieve a proper BDC/ distance relation.

And FYI... the eye relief is very short on that scope.

Thank you, jakhamr81.
But the way of testing means that I should buy that scope first in this exact case. I'll try to do math with kac ballistic calculator based on your info.

Do I understand correctly that if I want good eye relief I should go for TA11 line of acog's?

Sincerely,
