Re: 50MM OBJ & RING HEIGHT???

Hello, I have a Rem 700 5R with a Badger 20 MOA base and Standard Height 0.823 rings. I had a 50mm scope on it and recently went to a 56mm (very close). In my opinion, the lower you can go with the scope the better, the higher the scope is the more of a cheekweld issue you could run into. Even with Standard rings I had to buy a cheek pad to get high enough.

Re: 50MM OBJ & RING HEIGHT???

I'm mounting up a Falcon menace 5.5-25 56MM on a Lawton 7000 with 20MOA base. Any ideas whether the low mount would work, or play it safe and go with mediums? Also using the burris XTR rings.

Take a look at TPS rings. They are far superior to the Burris rings. I no longer buy anything other than TPS for my 30mm rings. Lows on my 44mm USO fit great to my 5r.

No problem here...
