52 inch rifle case

looking for a 52 inch long also extra wide rifle case.just something to protect
my rifle back and forth to the range..it is a heavy setup with scope and all..
something that will also allow a one piece cleaning rod..the case I have is
getting old and sometimes I worry it will fall apart at the hinges..thanks

If inner dimensions of 50.5” would work the pelican 1750 is my choice. I have 4 and love them.

I bought two Hogue Double XL Bag 52 inch.
It is expensive but, build like a tank and you can drop without care and I can take a nap inside it.
Everything is well design and the finish inside is superb.

For your stated use, this is a great and very affordable option. Gear snobs won't get it, but I use mine for a heavy match rifle with 26" barrel and a 9" can that I leave on, plus scope with sunshade and bipod attached. It fits really well, plenty of padding for protection, room and straps for that one-piece rod, plus plenty of external pockets for other support gear. I've been using mine every week (almost) for well over a year for just what you are asking and see no problems or wear issues yet.

You can certainly spend a lot more (double to quadruple for the high end bags) and you will get a higher quality product and many times they are made in USA, but for just carting your rifle to and from the range or knocking around in the back of the truck for matches, this one works for me.

I use one of these for my Remmy and it works pretty well. I also have one of their Pelican copies and it's it's not bad either. I don't like the foam much (pick and pluck), but functionally it's fine.
