n.western, wi
which reloading Data book has 6.5 284 info.
I have the speer book, no info there, checked another @ gander and no 6.5-284 in it either.
Also, I don't have a chrono, so am looking for muzzle velocity with a given load , for a starting point for come up. or software that will give
velocity with a given load
thanks in advance

Re: 6.5 284 load data book?

Most of the "book" data you will find is for 6.5-284 WIN. chambering. If you have a Norma chamber I would use this data:

http://www.6mmbr.com/SixFive284.html

Scroll down to the bottom of the page for the load data.

I was using 48.5 of H4350 with 140gr VLD's. Worked well with the limited # of rounds I shot.

Take care,Stan

Thanks,
I have a 6.5 -284 win chambering, and had bought a box of Corban
6.5-284 which uses norma case, I assume it is for a norma chambering.
I had high overpressure= blew out primer, hard bolt lift, primer pocket enlarged, I called Corban, they said it didn't matter that i had a winchester chambering and sent a pick ticket, still waiting to hear what they think happened. they will send replacement ammo when it is available, no cost to me. I have since shot some handloads with cci br2, h4831sc, lapau cases started at 48gn up to 50gn in .5 increments
with no pressure signs. no chrony yet, so no idea on fps.
I have copied the 6mmbr info.
cheers
