I started handloading some 6.5 Creed in my 22" Aero Precision (BA QPQ barrel). Using a Hornady LNL Progressive press I got some excellent results from the following load:
39.0gr RL 17
Hornady brass
Remington Magnum Primers
Mag length OAL
142gr SMK
Results:
1/2 MOA groups at 100 yards
2665 fps avg (measured with magneto speed)
4 o'clock ejection (with Sprinco orange spring)
Results @ 1000 yards:
3-4 inch groups on a 1 MOA plate (unfortunately my range doesn't allow anyone to go down range for safety purposes, so I can't show any photos).
I think the QPQ finish contributes to the increased velocity, as my Hornady reloading book says something like 2550-2600fps for this same load. I wasn't getting any pressure signs at all, despite it being 95 degrees outside.
