6.5 Creedmoor brass. Lapua vs Alpha

I bought 100 Norma 6.5CM cases, fireformed and neck sized then randomly measured the ID of 25 cases and every case was .261", not .260" and not .262" but .261". I think the Lapua brass will be fine quality but the Norma didn't vary by .001".

I am running a 6 Creedmoor right now. I have ran Lapua Creedmoor brass, though I'm currently in the process of testing alpha. I have 50 rounds to fire form on Monday. I found the Lapua brass didn't give me the ES that I was hoping for (Average ES of 19 i want it less than or equal to 10). The lapua is nice brass, though the Alpha is also some very impressive brass. You can't got wrong either way. Both are excellent choices. The Alpha brass is THICK.

cool thanks. let me know what the results are as far as case capacity/speed/pressure for similar loads between the lapua and alpha brass. I know in a 223, the laupa brass was slower than LC brass for the same reason (LC is thicker). that might be a good thing if everything else with the alpha brass is good

The alpha case capacity is smaller than the Lapua. I run 46.8 gr of h1000 in my lapua cases without using a drop tube, though on my alpha cases I have to use a drop tube to fit it all in the case.
