Well, the wandering is probaly more to do with barrel heating up slightly. How long are you taking between shots? I mean, sure, it can be shooter error as well, but once a barrel, especially if not of teh Varmint/heavy variant, heats up, can lose some accuracy.
Even with my heavy barrel Rem 700...first 3-5 shots, as quick as I can chamber a round will print just a small hole, but if I stretch it out to 10 shot groups, which I do pretty regular, the hole gets bigger and bigger. Will group @ 3/8" for 3-5 shots, then by the time I have 10 shots down teh pipe, has opened up to a 1"+
