All but ready to order one. Cannot find any real info on the accuracy of the 6.5 grendel. Love to hear from anyone that owns one.

do they even change the barrel from a factory howa?I have a grendel already and agree that its a great all around cartridge. Its also a wonderful "for the children" cartridge. Low recoil but plenty of energy. I assure you that you are correct. I have taken pigs, whitetails, a big mule this year and elk with it. I am specifically looking for Elf Owl accuracy experience.
Wild man it was fun but not many animals moving lot of old tracks.Smokin7, Since you came in here to bag on dude, How was your elk hunt? I think I pm'd with you about it.
You'll hear that a lot from people who've never actually owned a CA rifle... There was a few bad barrels that caused some accuracy issues, but nowhere near the same level as Savage, Remington, and everyone else that produces rifles. Remember, the loudest voices often have the least personal experience. Why is that?
Well shit. Just when I was ready to pull the trigger and order the Elf Owl 6.5 grendel 12" I found out I have to start loading for 6.5CM for my nephew. His dad bought him a 6.5 cm but didn't buy ammo for him. He says, "I cant find ammo". WTF. Sent him several links for ammo, didn't buy any. He is a traditionally cheap dick and I know if I want him to shoot more than a box a year, which I do, I'll have to load or buy for him. Whatever, I bought dies and brass and will use other components I have to make practice and hunting ammo for him, he should draw his first deer tag this year.
Where am I going with this and what the fuck does it have to do with the elf owl? Now Im torn. As much as I have avoided 6.5 cm, now that I am stuck loading for it, should I consider 6.5 cm for the pistol instead? That option puts the Christensen MPP in play, which if they offered 6.5G I would likely already have it. I like that it is lighter than the elf owl and I can have it tomorrow instead of in 6 weeks. I can get some more pep out of the CM to extend range a bit but is this going to be negligible in a 12.5" barrel? Should I just stick with the grendel like I had originally planned because all Im going to do is burn more powder and get more recoil with negligible returns? I have made plenty of memes bagging on the CM and its ilk, will it betray me if I switch to the dark side? Will all my other guns betray me for putting a man bun in the safe? Do I get it anyway because its the right answer, keep it as a dark secret mistress (think dirty d mistress) but never bring it around the others or admit Ive done it?
I am still really leaning towards the 6.5G in the elf owl but is there a real argument to go with the CM? There is pretty limited real world info on both these, which is part of what's making it hard. Probably won't buy a second bolt pistol so I don't want to fuck this up.

Magazines for the Grendel?Do the Grendel in the short barreled pistol. The Manbun will be a flamethrower in a pistol length barrel and you'll hate it.
You can always load the 120-123gr bullets in the creepmore for practice ammo for the nephew.
Tell your brother to stop being a cheap assed mofo.
The difference is another set of dies and maybe another powder.
With small rifle primer CM brass, that would be the only issue.
I have two CM and a Grendel.
For deer and hogs, it's a no brainer, the Grendel gets the nod.
BTW, I live about ten miles from JTAC Industries and I shoot at JTAC Ranch. I can get my hands on their products if you're needing information or my opinion.
Magazines for the Grendel?
Will it not accept DuraMag (C-Products Defense) stainless steel anti-tilt AR style mags? I thought it was designed to do so... I've been using the C-Prod/Dura mags for almost 10 years. I primarily only use 5 and 10 rounders since I'm mostly hunting or shooting from a bench with the 6.5G AR, and don't want a low-hanging magazine to get in the way. The original ones I purchased are still working perfectly. I highly recommend them.I have looked on Brownells and several sites extensively. They are usually out of stock. You can get the 300 blackout mini mags but not the 6.5/7.62x39/6mm ARC mags without like getting luck on here or eBay. Only reason I haven’t bought the gun in those calibers. I own a Screech Owl in .308 because it has mags supported by MDT and Magpul. Both work great. I would love to get the 6mm ARC or Grendel but I can’t buy something where I got to play where is Waldo in mags. I have only stretched this guy to 500 and on steel and it’s been solid. 16” barrel and MDT muzzle break. I got 350 yard range infront of house and I got 4 kids, 3 shoot also so that’s why I like Primary Arms Apollo budget optics.
Contact Tyler at MK Machining. I think he's on here, but can't remember his handle. That's double what JTAC has them for and a quick search showed them in stock a couple other places for $34-39. Love to find somebody to print some 10 rounders. Its a drag that Howa makes 10 rounders for 223 in the mini but not grendel.
