Hey, I recently found a 6.5x47 lapua and wanted to see what a fair price would be to pay for it.
The specs are 6.5x47 Lapua built by Accurate Ordance. This rifle shoots lights out and will include all my load data and bullets with a set of custom Hornady Dies. This rifle has a Proof Research CF bull barrel the action is Accurate Ordance Stiller Tac 30 and it’s topped off with Manners TF in Black Forest. Build has a timney trigger and 274 rounds on the action/barrel. The picture depicts everything he is selling with the build.

The guy is asking $3500 which seemed a little high and said he would part with the barrel/action for $2k.

Action: ~$1k
Barrel: ~$800 + chamber job
Stock: ~$1k + DBM or mini chassis = $1200+
Trigger: ~$150

That puts you over $3k already, then add shipping, tax, assembly, barrel threading, brake plus all the extras probably puts the "new" cost at well over $4k. Plus it's ready to go so you don't have to wait for it.

The barrel is just broken in and has a lot of life left. Frankly, $3500 is a fair price, but that shouldn't stop you from offering less.

$2500 is an insult. There’s 2k in the action and barrel alone. Let alone a manners stock, trigger, bedding job, loading dies and components, muzzle threads etc. at $3500 the seller is taking a substantial loss. I’m all for good deals. Depends how motivated the seller is. I doubt he’d consider $2500 though.

stiller action = eh
carbon barrel = not my cup of tea
manners folder = eh unless it's unbedded and has a minichassis
timney trigger = eh maybe
bed and brake = no value
bullets and hornady dies = eh minor value

bighorn origin: $825
proof carbon prefit $830
manners/mcmillan/chassis: $1200
TT: $260
A419 hellfire: $160
dies $200
total: $3,475

i agree with $2500 value. its used. its a stiller. and it's highly unlikely it's exactly what someone wants
