It will work but its fast for this case. The fastest i have used is rl-15. I am about 4 grains from max cap with it. But it works well. You could try it but i would run the cci-400 primers in it or another mild small rifle.
Does seem a tad fast. I love Re 15 with 123 grain scenars. In the IMR family I tried IMR 4007ssc. Good accuracy, but Re 15 gave much better velocity (and also great accuracy). I've also used Ramshot Big Game and Hunter with 123-130 grain bullets. Never used Hodgdon 4350, but see good write-ups about in at 6mmBR.com in their rifle of the week section (for those rifles chambered in 6.5X47).
I'll be running 123 scenars, and it looks like I should stick with the Varget that I have on hand, and keep the 4895 for my .308. I appreciate all of the data.
What bullets have you got RL 17 to work with and what kind of accuracy are you getting. I ask as I got great velocity, up to 3,050 with 130 g Berger VLD but the accuracy w3as not real good.

My bad! My experience is with the 6-6.5x47 Lapua. Ignore my "has worked well for me" comment regarding powders for the 6.5x47 Lapua.
