I have been trying to develope a load for my 6.8 that shoots better than 1.5" I got some data from here and over at the 68 forums with H322. Im using a Hornady 110 grain V-max moly coated. Im .010" off the lands and grooves at 2.233".

I started with IMR 4198, Benchmark (which hornady says worked the best and H322. 4198 looked like I was shooting a 20 gauge. Benchmark was ok, but never got anything better than 1.5" After scouring the net for info I found that anywhere from 27-29 grains of H322 would get some good results. I got a little over than an inch with 29 grains. Good enough to kill dogs, but not good enough for me.

I got turned on to H335 to a friend for my 223. My new 26" VSF 223 would shoot right at an inch with just about every powder I tried includeing Benchmark, Varget, H322, IMR 4198 and a few others. I loaded 30 test loads .010" off the lands and grooves. Found the honey spot at 27 flat. Pulled off an .310" 5 shot group at 100 meters with the 223.

Have any of you had any luck with H335 and 6.8? I found a shit load of data for it. Starting at 27.5 and working up to 30.0. I have seen data that guys were getting all the way up to 31.5, but thats pushing it.

Thanks in advance

Try a different bullet. SMK's 115 grain or the remington 115 grain FMJ's

Your gun could also just suck(no offense) My 6.8 AR will shoot sub MOA out to 250(never taken it past 250)

I'm using SSA brass. and 27.5 grains of H322 OAL 2.28

SSA uses sierra, barnes, and nosler. You need to narrow that down a bit

Just got back from the range.

I got .899 inch group with 27.5. Under an inch, but still not good enough. I ended with 30 grains and my 3 shot group measured .441 inches. Just under a half inch is pretty damn good in my opinion. After a skim bedding job and then glass bed I think it should get better. Rifle is still under 400 rounds. Ive heard that 500 is where it will start getting broken in.

I was using
FL resized new SSA small primer brass
Hornady 110 grain V-max moly coated.
Remington Bench Rest small rifle primer
30 grains of Hodgdon H335
26" factory barrel with break
OAL of 2.300"
Tempurature was 78 degrees.
