it's time to rebarrel the 243 I have and I just can't decide on the next chambering! I'm leaning pretty hard toward the 6 comp match just due to the fact that I'm stocked up on lapis brass and H1000 plus I would only need a new Sizer die. I already have a new Bartlien med Palma .237 barrel on hand but I read that the chamber can be finicky on a 5 groove ? Supposedly it was setup for a 237 4 groove , does anyone run a 5 groove with it and how is it doing ? I also searched the depot for data on reloads and couldn't find any. Is there any way to get it setup on quick loads ?

Chad Dixon is ur man if u have those kinda questions about the Comp Match. I have mine coming hopefully by the end of the month from PVA. The downside to the Comp match is the fireforming. It hurts when u lose brass. From what I understand the norma brass lasts even longer than the lapua. But. If u are getting ready for PRS... I'd go for the 6mm SLR. No fire forming. Less gut hurt when u lose the brass. Same performance pretty much. The sizer die is expensive from LRI But it is amazing. Fit and finish is incredible. Just my take on it. I also shoot the 6 dasher and 6mm Lapua. All are incredible and u just can't go wrong.

Pm me, I can help some as I've shot 2 barrels of comp match out. I would not concern myself with fireforming accuracy if you go the false shoulder route. As per the advice above concerning 6slr, don't even try forming Lapua brass into slr unless you're prepared to turn donuts out of your brass.

Like said above call chad. He will convince you to go with the comp. He has done his research and tested the shit out of the cartridge and it is incredible really. Norma brass and RL-26 and a 105-115 and you will love it. As far as grooves chad will help you.
