Ok gents, a very good family friend was just diagnosed earlier this month with stage 4 cancer. His liver is like Swiss cheese. Talking to him today about helping him with hunting this season he mentioned he'd always wanted to do a prairie dog hunt. I'm reaching out to see if anyone on here that lives out west with a vast amount of pd to hunt, would be willing to hook a few of us up so we can fulfill a dear friends last hunt. We can stay in hotels and do our own food. Well make do in that sense. I mainly want to have a place with easy truck access so we can drive him right to a shooting position and set up a tent for shade for him to sit under and shoot. Even if it's public land, if one of you fine gents would be willing to escort us around an area you may be familiar with for a few days of fun. A guide tip will be paid as well for your time. It's just such short notice, otherwise I'd call a guide and setup a hunt. But we need to do this in the next month or so. Thank you gents and any help will be greatly appreciated!

I have a private ranch with 1000's of PD's and you can shoot from 100yds to over 1000yds. Easy access, we have EZ-up canopies, portable shooting benches, and can even put you up. Could even get him out for some coyote whacking if he wants. I'm located in Northeast Arizona. Phoenix or Albuquerque are the two closest airports to me. Feel free to pm me with any questions you may have.

Wouldnt mind trying to unload a few things, and send some money as well. Let me know if I can help. May not be much, but I'll do what I can

Re: 6 months to live. PLEASE READ!!

man, i am completley blown away by the generosity of you gents on here. it really is heart warming to see all the responses for wanting to help out. currently im planning to head out to brian's(jcfd2201) place for a trip with my brothers and our friend. we have to wait for his first cycle of radiation to be complete before we can go. it may be a few weeks i assume. as for the fine folks offering to pitch in their own hard earned green backs, i really truly appreciate those offers VERY much. myself and my brothers are splitting the bill for him to go and enjoy himself. its the least we can do for such a good friend. it never ceases to amaze me the kind of good men you can meet on the hide. you guys are a good bunch of friends. i hope someday i can help a poor soul out like youve all offered to me. thank you all again.

All I need is the dates and we will have accomodations and shooting benches ready for you guys. You can ship guns ahead of time, travel with them, or leave them home and I will get that taken care of.

Brian, Can I send you a bottle of your swill? This is an awesome read.

I've been a member here for around 5 years, I post very little, but I have been shooting more lately, spending more time on life and ran accross this thread.

B, what's your pleaseure?

Chris, Way to take care of your buddy. That is what friends are for. Cherish the time together.

And to you Brian, you rock. Awesome of you to take these gents in in such short notice.

Please post some cool pics of you all shooting the PD's.

I too would be happy to send you a bottle of your swill and a few of some fine Cigars to kick back after the hunt and tell your life stories to.

Have a great time and a safe hunt. Life is short and friends are forever.

God Bless My Friend.

Wow I have to say I am very impressed with the support and response. You guys are top notch and should be proud. My thoughts and prayers go out to the ill and his family and friends and a tip of my hat goes out to those who helped another in need. Anybody ever passes through Cleveland first round on me.

Re: 6 months to live. PLEASE READ!!

Wow I just saw this post come back up and since sixpack340 and I had been PM'ing I hadn't paid any attention to the post. While I appreciate the offers for spirits and cigars they are unnecessary. I made the offer simply based on my beliefs of doing what is right and helping my fellow man. I would ask that rather than send something to me you spend that money on someone that needs a lift or help or use the money you would have spent and give it to a good cause in your local area.

I don't think sixpack has come back to this thread either and has not updated it. His friend is not doing well and the trip has been put on hold. My offer of course stands and should the worse happen sixpack and the others are welcome to make the trip in memory and honor of his good friend.

Re: 6 months to live. PLEASE READ!!

My schedule is pretty jammed for the next several months, but I live in Phoenix and would be more than happy to provide transportation up and back. Let me know the dates. If they are open in my schedule, I'll play taxi for up to five others.

Re: 6 months to live. PLEASE READ!!

First time I saw this. I know you said expenses are covered, if for any reason the become a burden, I will be more than happy to contribute. I mean that in the most sincere and heartfelt way having been down that road twice now and once with the exact same diagnosis. This is an open offer. If you need anything a descrete PM will suffice. Prayers to you all. Paul
