First off, I was quite pleased that the trajectory tables were very accurate in that when I shot the 300 zero, then back to 200 & 100 on saturday to try and figure my velocity, I had to click the scope up .5MOA and I was all set, thanks Hornady Ballistic Calculator!! Of course this is after I moved the scope 26 clicks to be 9.1" high at 100 to be zeroed at 600.
At any rate, I shot 2 groups with 41.9grs RE17 & the 105 HPBT AMP bullet, 1st group went 6.5" if I remember correctly, 2nd group was like 5 & 7/8", best vertical if I recall again was around 3" give or take, should've had my camera along, I know. Some wind was out of the east, shooting to the north, definite stringing to the left.
The 42.2grs of H4350 fared a bit better, 1st group was 5" with 4 of the 5 having a 1.5" vertical and measured about 3.5"(high flyer for some reason), 2nd group was like a zig zag, but also had a 1.5" vertical, didnt measure that group but it looked to be under 6".
Guess if Im going to use the RE17 id better dial my loads back to 41.7grs and work around that, or get some more H4350.
