Hi everybody!
First, here is what is able my rem700-6br with manufactured lapua cartrige (105g-2789fps):
800m, 2m/s wind:

1000m, 2m/s wind: (2 big shoot are not mine...)

900m 6m/s wind changing from 11h to 1h, interresting but not easy:

Here is my questions: i think that 2789fps is not enough to shoot at 1000m. I will begin to reload my ammunitions in a few month and i am wondering wich powder should i use if i want something close to 2900fps. Is that possible with N150 or do i directly use N5xx series?
I will probably choose 105g bullet.
Are the Berger 95g VLD ok for 1000m shooting?
My barrel is a Lothar W., 26" length.

I am newby, be gentle ok?

This will be interesting.....

FYI.....I shoot a 6BRX at 2980 (Varget and 105's), and love it for up to 1k stuff. I am shooting less powder and same speeds as my buddy's 6X47L.

His feeds better though

I have to have repeaters, and so far I can handle it's little quirks.

Re: 6br from 800 to 1000m

30 grains of Varget behind a 107 SMK or 105 Berger will do the deed in a 6BR at a grand no problem.

Run the math using JBM to see how far you avoid the transonic region with the stated velocity of the factory round. Until you buy them and chrono them, you don't know how fast they go out of your rifle.

When I shot BR it was with a 30 caliber & 6BR. I went through two 6 BR's and both ran 105's around 2,750ish with Varget, RL15, N140 and H4895. The 6BR is very strong to 400, it does great to 600 but, when the wind starts to blow your SOL at 600+ unless your good at wind reading.

I switched to the 6 Dasher and ran 105's at 3,050 fps with 33.3 grains of Varget and CCI450 primers. It's much slicker in the wind and easier to shoot. My BR load was 30.3 grains of Varget just for conversation.

The 6 Dasher will run off and hide from the 6 BR with ease. Limit your BR to 600 and in, the Dasher for all else.

Re: 6br from 800 to 1000m

Bonjour,

Here is what's working for me!
30.0gr of N540, lapua scenar 105gr, around 870 m/s, target is 850m far, the group : 20x12cm, the highter impact is a mistake from me, too bad...let see what hapen next time.
I just get some Berger VLD match hunting 105gr (something like that), will try this later.
