It works very well. I have necked down and prepped 300 cases for my FO rifle. Neck thickness after necking down was in the range of .016 and .015 after running the expander mandrel through it. Neck turned cases to .0135 for a .275 neck. Used a Redding FL sizing die with the expander assembly removed to neck down the brass.
I am using .269 on necks turned to .0135. Probably a .271 or .272 depending on your neck wall thickness if you are not turning necks. Do you know your chamber neck diameter?
.275 chamber. Loaded round is .273. .269 bushing was too much so I called whidden up and the next size they had in stock was .271 so that is what I ordered that. I initially planned to clean up the necks but not sure if I'll be able to with a 271 bushing.
However, If I neck turn slightly my loaded rounds neck will decrease slightly. With a 271 bushing I'm just not sure I'll be able to turn my necks and maintain adequate neck tension. Will have to wait and see
