I’ve been running 6ARC in a number of platforms for a while now, both gas and bolt, and my latest 20” gas gun has confirmed something I felt worth mentioning:

Leverevolution (LVR) is among the most optimized powders for this cartridge, which is nothing new, but for some strange reason the following load just seems to work in everything I shoot regardless of barrel length or gas/bolt:

Berger 105gr Hybrid
28.5gr LVR
GM205MAR
2.245” COAL
Starline or resized Lapua 6.5 Grendel brass

I’ve got a bunch of 109 LRHTs I use in a 6mm Creedmoor, and wanted to go back and try these in the new 6ARC barrel. Sure, I could get them to shoot fine, but when I used the above load as a control I just shook my head and thought “I should just stick to this.”

The other bullet that works really well in my shorter gas guns is the 103 ELD-X, but I have some barrels that don’t like it.

Performance of LVL=fantastic. It is so incredibly dirty suppressed though that I'm moving on. Benchmark does well with 70-75g varmint loads with only a 50fps loss to LVL. Worse with heavier bullets in my limited experience with it.

I'm not talking about the bcg I mean the chamber and barrel get so nasty after even 10 shots. Worse than anything I've ever used before

Factory Hornady that I shot when I still had a 6 ARC was filthy too.

Glad to know I am not the only one that has issues with filthy Hornady ammo, love the bullets, but it's a pain running suppressed. I have a 6arc AR with a CLE barrel and after 10 or 12 suppressed shots, my chamber gets really tight. I will shortly start reloading small bullets, 58 to 70 grains. Does anybody have a suggestion for clean powder for these loads?
