6MM Creed 112 Match Burner - 4350

Looking for anyone that has done load development on the Barnes 112 Match Burners in 6mm Creedmoor. I have a new 6MM Proof Prefit that I am about to start working with here in the attempts to get it ready for the later part of the PRS Season. Current Barrel has about 300-400 rounds left on it. I have heard seating depths are the tricky part with this bullet.. Any information would be appreciated.

I have what I assume to be saami 6 creed throat which would be a .183 free bore. I put a bullet into a chamfered case neck with finger pressure just so that it would hold the bullet and I couldnt get the 112 mbs to touch the lands. As such I tried for 150ish rounds of powder charge and jump before I cut bait and traded into another bullet that wasnt quite so squat.

Im sure they are fine in something with a shorter throat than what I had but I dont like knowing how far off the lands I was and also not being able to make them shoot without more effort than I felt it should take.

I’m shooting them in a proof prefit. I’m getting great accuracy at .050 jump. Powder charge is 38 grains. Velocity of 2875. My brother in law is using them in his new barrel also. He’s running 41.3 grains in Peterson SRP brass. .005 jump. About 3050 velocity. Great accuracy.

It has held up well. I’ve shot them to 1050 and all is well

That powder is probably past it's best with very heavy for calibre 6mm in that size case?

Surely you would get better velocity for the same peak pressure with a slower powder?

With everything being so scarce and about any .243 bullets being tough to find some of these might be in my future too... IIRC their numbers are real similar to DTAC's (which is a very good thing IMO).

I'm starting to think anything will shoot if you aren't afraid to jump them enough. I'd start at ~.060" off jam and go out to .120" or so, bet they'll shoot (I'm jumping DTAC's ~.100" off jam and am drinking the bullet-jump kool-aid big time though).

Yeah there were some dimensional differences in the older and newer production runs. I really liked the older bullets. Just looking for a good starting point for these newer bullets.

I tested from .040" off jam out to .120" off, and between .080-.120" was great for me, so I'm in the middle of that zone now as the throat cooks away...

But, If those don't work out, I'll buy all of them off ya!

I’m going to try them out first part of next week. Thanks for the information. Good to know that they don’t mind some jump.
