Ok, looking for insight...
Gas guns tend to lose brass, so.. will starline 6mm creed brass perform well? A couple of guys at long range hunting form say it works well enough. Will I be able to get .75moa consistently with the starline case? What about lifespan? It is rather cheap and they also offer discounts for MIL.
Next - are you gasgunners hellbent on the JP bolt? My current bolt is a large firing pin. Was curious if large primers with a magnum rifle primer would handle the pressure and produce reasonable results?
I keep looking at using the 115 dtac. Other than a 'low' velocity, is there anything else I should be concerned with? A few people claim it has rather good g7 bc and again it is cheap. Looking to bang gongs at 600-1000yds or make alpha box hits on uspsa paper. Center mass.
If the newest version of the dtac actually meets the reported claims (varied) of .30-.32 g7 bc... it may be worth the lower velocity to still be predictable.
I am looking at the total cost of ammunitions due to being a gas gun. Thinking a good whidden head for the dillon 650 would be in order.
Was thinking 22-24" barrel length.
Please point me in the right direction, share insight and well - if am completely mistaken then kick my ass in a direction that works.
Appreciated.
