I built a 6.5 Creedmoor last year. Just a savage m12 LRP Action, 28" shilen select match bull, precision nut & recoil lug. HS Precision stock. Very accurate build.

Now I want a 6mm Creedmoor or 6.5-47L . I bought a Remington 700 trued action. But can't decide what caliber. 6mm creed super flat trajectory with 105 berger hybrids or 110SMK. Going with a CBI 28" bull 109" freebore. Hopefully get 3150m.v. with 105 hybrid 3000 m.v. with 110SMK ACCURACY FIRST OF COURSE.

6.5-47L good brass small primer pockets 140hybrid going 2850/2900? Hmmm 28"CBI BULL dont know what freebore ?

I'm not a pro shooter just for fun but I take it very seriously. 400out to 1000

So tell me what you think. Thanks

Go 6creed, will give you something different than what you already have .... Your building redundant if you go 6.5x47 because Lapua 6.5 Creed brass has small primer pockets

I have been shooting the 6.5 Creedmoor for the last two years. Just finished a new build using the 6mm Creedmoor and so far it is doing great. Using the Hornady 108 ELD. Good luck on your choice.

I think the 110gn. SMK 6mm has a better b.c. ? then 115dtacs

Not sure if that's the case as I don't have the custom drag curve for the 110 in applied ballistics. The custom curve for the 115 beats the standard G1 of the 110.

For me, the deciding factor to go 115 over 110 was that the DTACS work fine in a 1:8 where the 110s like at least a 1:7.5.

The difference in BC is probably marginal. The real difference is in accuracy and tune-ability. Over the course of three barrels I've tried 110's at the lands, 5 off and in just about every increment out to 80 thou off. Just can't get them to shoot as well as a hybrid or dtac.
I was shooting next to a PRS competitor Saturday who has tried the 110s in three different 6 creed barrels and cannot find an accuracy node, nor even a node where the SD is low. He's pretty much ready to throw them out and much prefers the lower BC JLKs that he says are easy to tune and are just hammers.

TVP Team all use 65-47L 140gn.eldm. One guy said 65 lapua is more accurate then 65 Creedmoor. Maybe before lapua started making 65 Creedmoor brass.
But how can you get more accurate then one hole. -and that's with Hornady brass.
Also TVP say 2500/3000 rounds of barrel life.

I'm betting they have to be jammed. I'm not willing to do that bc you have to chase the lands a lot to keep that specific jam number. Too high maintenance.
That's why I still shoot 136g scenars in my .260. They don't care about jump and I don't have to mess with them at all as the throat gets longer. They just keep on shooting well. This means a lot to me, as I don't really like load development and am too busy to be chasing adjustments every 100-200 rounds. That would be every week or so for me.

Not gunna do it...wouldn't be prudent...(in imitation G.W. Bush voice)
