Re: 7.62 nato fired through GAP crusader .308 ?

What 7.62 are you talking about?

Ball 7.62, Fed OTM 7.62X51 with 168 SMK, or ????

You will have no problems firing 7.62 nato in your gap. However be mindful of the age, origin of ammo, and etc. Some really old surplus might have used corrosive primers.(Not a big issue just have to clean it with some sort of ammonia based cleaner) Some older surplus has been known to be overcharged or have extra pressure due to the age of the components. If it is American and if the age is from the time frame of the 80s to current, I would have no issue firing it in any of my .308s.

False economy to put cheap mil surplus ammo through a rifle like that IMHO.

Find a couple of sources for quality match ammo, buy a few boxes of each to see what rifle likes and then order in as much of what rifle likes best as you can.

I agree don't need to fire shitty ammo thru that finely tuned shooting machine. I don't even do that with my three gun carbine and I reload the cheapest ammo possible for it. But at least I know What it is

Re: 7.62 nato fired through GAP crusader .308 ?

I've shot a few hundred rounds of FN Belgium Surplus and Pakistan Surplus ammo through my GAP. Not as accurate, but it is fun trying to hit steel out pass 500 yards with'em surplus stuff.

Furthest I've hit with surplus stuff is out to 775 yards, but the ratio of hit was 2 out of 10 shots, lol...
