7.62x39 in an AICS magazine?

Does anyone know of any 7.62x39 AICS compatible magazines?

I'm looking to get a Howa 1500 Mini Action and bed it into a MDT ESS Gen 2 chassis and have a little play with 7.62x39 to see what accuracy I can get out of it and (maybe) try it out as a subsonic round with my suppressor. Apparently you can (almost) use 223 mags which feed with some modifications - I've got a couple of Accurate 223 mags and some of the new Magpul 223 mags on order that I'd be happy to modify. If anyone has had any success with mod'd mags or knows of a manufacturer that makes mags will work please FWD their details. Cheers.

just wondering if you ever got this working. Not sure if it helps or not, but i just built a savage in 7.62x39, used a x39 savage mag. The donor rifle was a 223. The x39 mag broke the rear tab off the mag and is now useless so i tried the unmodified 223 mag and it works flawlessly. I to am now thinking of dropping this rifle into a chassis

Yep. Got it working but it’s not gone past 250m which is my hunting range ATM (have not done hand loads yet and just using Prvi RNSP rounds). Pretty happy with it and 10 round magazines are about to be released for a Howa how’s your project going?

Yep I got my rifle going. Just stuck using three rounds at a time with the factory magazine. No one yet has made magazine

So, I haven't run x39 through an AICS, but since that is the parent case of 6.5G I would recommend these:

I use them with my savage action 6.5 Grendel in an AICS chassis. Work great.

i want to find a machinist who can make a block that fits the OEM magwell, with the center of the block cut for the clinton era 10rd single stack ak mags. They are cheap and easy to get. Would work better than anything else i can think of and its of centerfeed design

Probably, but I don't know anything about 3D printers or anyone who has one
