Re: 7 RUM Brass
I can't direct you to any source of new 7mm RUM cases but have you considered necking down some other cases to 7mm.
By using the 404 Jeffery Remington case they developed the .300RUM, .338RUM and the 7mm RUM. By necking down the .300 RUM to suit the .284 or 7mm projectile, they produced the 7mm RUM.
Sometimes when a certain caliber case is not avaiable it can be made from other cases in the same cartridge family that may be available .
Sinclair International seem to list having stocks of 300 RUM cases. So running them into a 7mm RUM full length sizing die should do the trick. From .300 to .284 is not that much of a step . Trim ( squareup) , chamfer and Polish the casese with steel wool and then use good non detonating case lube like RCBS or Corbins bullet swaging lube sparingly.
Too much lube can produce dents in the case due to trapped lube or the lube gets hot from pressure and detonates . Small dents are not a big issue as they will fireform out.
After forming you may need to trim the necks back a bit more as the 300 RUM has a longer neck but it is hard to say until you form and measure them .
