7 STW Load Help

I am about to get a 7 STW with 26” Bartlein 1-9 twist. Does anyone load the 185 gr RDF for their STW? If so what powder RL 23/26, H1000, Retumbo, 7828, 50BMG, US869? I was planning on 168’s but saw numbers on 185 RDF and they caught my attention plus they are on sale.

I assume you've seen Nosler's load suggestions, right? It may be limited more by what powders you can find right now unless you already have them.

I have and I have at least 3lb of the ones I’ve mentioned. I wanted to ask the hide as there is a large amount of knowledge here and figured since there is already a 7-08, 7 wsm, 7 lrm thread someone had to have some bits of info.

My notes from Oct 18, 2020 using 140 gr Nos Acc Bnd moly 3.65", 70 gr IMR-4166, QL predicts 3223 fps 70kpsi
I sighted in at 100 yards to hit a 1/2" dot, but got kicked in the eye 3 times with scope eyepiece cover. Length of pull on McMillan stock may be too short for me.


4) The 7mmSTW is a Defiance Deviant , Bartlein 9" twist 5R fluted, Sunny hill bottom. Wyatt mag and follower, Jewel trigger, Seekins rings, S&B 3-20x50 34mm PM II scope
