Just purchased a .300 ss 5r that was made in 2010. Question is has anybody heard of bad quality control from that year ? If so what would they be. The rifle shoots great but was just curious.... Thanks

I'm sure somebody will chime in with an internet rumor or myth. I don't know of any myself but since you already have it and it shoots great I'd say don't worry about it! I love my 300 wm 5r.

I am pretty sure mine is from the same time fram.so I would say enjoy it.the only thing I hate so fare is the trigger but I have to over look it right now.and yeah the 208gn A-max is the bomb in my rifel.

Is there any truth to Remington not making the 26" version anymore. I have heard they are going with the threaded 24" version only now.

You are correct. They have had several variations of it. Mine is a 24" not threaded and say special run 1 of 250 on the box, whatever that means. H-1000 81 gr with the 180's and 77 gr with the 208's shoot lights out.

I will say that while breaking in I was loading 210 vlds fairly light with r22 and was shooting 3/4 " groups. I'm sure in time I will find that magic load... My .300 700 police is one ragged hole at 100. I actually beat 3 GAPs at 1200 yards shooting the 208 amax at 2935 fps. That dude is MOVING!
