My 700 scca-sd problem. Bench shooting the bolt is very hard to raise after a shot. I have to sit up and hold rifle butt with left hand and work bolt with right. have cleaned and oiled lugs to no avail. Suggestions Please. I have 4 other bolt guns that are smooth so understand bolt guns

Are you loading your own ammunition?
Well it tells me if it was loaded too hot. Being that it is factory Hornady, probably not. I'd send it back. Remington has had quality control issues.

The gun is a 308 Short bull barrel and 3-4 years old. I have not shot the gun in almost a year. I prefer my savage in 308. I cleaned several rifles and hit the range over the week end. All my other rifles shot fine, shoot a round keep cheek on stock eject round throw bolt / round back in place. (smile)
The bolt on the 700 was hard to lift to eject and hard to set back had to get hold of gun with two hands. Back at the house I recleaned and oiled weapon and the bolt is still hard to manipulate with dry fire. My other three bolt guns are smooth and just takes thumb and one finger to operate.

Check the corner of your bolt handle where it cams off the back of the receiver. After about 4-5k rounds that part on my remington 700 bolt was worn and "smushed over"
I’ve had hornady give me a sticky bolt with their superformance. Probably about 5 years ago. I switched to the eld’s around then, never had a problem with factory ammo after. Never really thought about it till now.
Base screws sticking through? Have you checked the headspace? Odd looking lug wear?
Or, action screws too long (?). Look at the outboard side of the right lug on the bolt (same side as bolt handle). Is it chewed up ? If so, your front action screw is too long.

That makes sense. I have a Bravo chassis coming this week so I will be swapping stocks. I think the action screw is 45 in lp. if not mistaken. I assume the new Bravo will have directions on torque values.

Yes sir. On KRG's website, you have the ability to download a PDF for the installation instructions. If my memory serves me correctly, a hard copy is also included in the box.
