7mm 162gr A-Max, load into the lands?

Just picked up a box of A-Max's for my 7WSM and need to know if these like to be loaded into the lands or off the lands.

Ive shot this bullet in 2 different rifles, a CZ550 and a remington 700, both 7mm Remington Magnums, and both shot <span style="font-weight: bold"><span style="color: #3333FF">very </span></span>well with the bullet seated and magazine length.

Out of the lands usually work for me.

I just checked and they hit the lands at 3.110" oal, so I guess Ill try them at 3.100" OAL and see how they do.

Ive always had best luck with AMAXs kissin the lands.

My 7wsm liked them .010 off the lands.

All the Amax I've shot (including this bullet) liked to be about 10 thou off the lands.

They were tolerant of seating depth changes as long as they were not jammed. Jamming them was an accuracy disaster in 5 different rifles.

My 7-08 did best about 5 thou off. I had the same experience with jamming them - disaster. Also, they do tend to be somewhat sensitive to seating depth. Not like SMKs, that's for sure.

Mine are jumping .020 in one rifle and .015 in the other with very good accuracy.
