Finally scored 8lbs of H 4350 and will be working up some new loads soon, I'll gladly loose a few fps from my RL 16 loads in exchange for no carbon rings!
What barrel brand are you running? So RE16 is best with the heavies.
Is varget best with the 150-168 class?
Bartlein gain twist. What barrel brand are you running?
Ah ok, completely out of my realm then. I have proof carbon and steel 8 twist barrels, both 26" long. Both hit 2820+ with RL16 and 160TMKs. If you can be arsed with it, MR2000 might be worth a try, is temp sensitive though.Bartlein gain twist.
Type 1 chamber and I'm thinking about trying 151gr monoliths
RL16 is becoming a bit of a challenge to get here, I'm going to try varget next I think. It's available everywhere (as AR2208). Did you try the H4350 in the 7SAW?i run 42.4gr varget with 162 ELDMs at 2840
I have H4350 but i'll save it for 6XC and 22LRV
i havent. but clayton likes itRL16 is becoming a bit of a challenge to get here, I'm going to try varget next I think. It's available everywhere (as AR2208). Did you try the H4350 in the 7SAW?
Ah cheers, I'll go through his site and find his data for it.i havent. but clayton likes it
if i snag more H4350 i may give it a try.
The 0.545 BC is a winner. It's listed as a .30, but it is a 7.
I made an error in that velocity, I went back and checked my logs (and corrected above), as I was confusing my 7mm-08 Rem 175 Elite MV's, with my .280 Ackley 175 Elite MV's. But still great velocities for a 20" barrel. According to my tests today, the 7 SAW at the same charge (46.0 gr) of the same StaBall 6.5 from the same jug, using the same bullets from the same lot, produced about 40-42 FPS higher than 7mm-08 Rem.I know you meant to post Here…
Seems like you’ll be burning too slow, esp w/ 20” barrel, but your 7-08 velocity is impressive on a 20”
Staball Match, RE15.5, leverevolution are going to get you better numbers, but Varget seems like the obvious starting point to me
