Re: Mixed family: Mil/Mil and Mil/MOA

I don't have any mixed scopes anymore, but it shouldn't be any different than switching between different calibers or different loads as far as dialing in goes. It's just a number and is different for each caliber/load anyway.

Once you get used to mil/mil, going back is what you will find annoying. If I went back to a mil/MOA SPF scope I would probably have issues making corrections because I've gotten so used to not having to think about mils of MOA and just measuring with the reticle for corrections. When I was at a match a few weekends ago, I was listening to the pair next to me trying to calculate their corrections at various distances and thought to myself: "geez! glad I don't have to deal with that nonsense anymore..."

Make a cheetsheet for your mil/moa optics and put it on your stock and you don't have to think about it anymore.

Re: Mixed family: Mil/Mil and Mil/MOA

I have recently made the switch to all mil/mil. I had a combo of mil/mil and mil/moa and didn't find it overly annoying. But it sure is nice to look at the reticle and adjust without doing math (which sadly, I suck ass at).
