870 Barrel Mount

Go Look Here at the final product.

So I have been hunting Google for 2 days trying to find a Weaver/Picatinny Rail mount that clamps between the barrel and feed tube of my Rem 870.

I have found a few results, but not exactly what I am wanting. I was hoping some of you guys had 1 already and could point me in the right direction
This One looks like the best option I found, but I I think it only comes with a single rail and you have to purchase another separate for the other side.
This One is almost what I am looking for, but it attaches to the feed tube only, not between the barrel and feed tube.
And Finally that one in the reviews ppl have stated there are issues mounting with an 870.

The Mesa Tactical is a great product. I have one on my 930SPX and it is very solidly built and will hold up to a good bit of abuse unlike the UTG/Airsoft crap that will most certainly break with any field use.

Thanks for the input I am glad you actually have 1.

Am I correct that it only comes with 1 weaver rail and you have to buy/add the 2nd one to the other side?

That is correct with both the Nordic Components and the Mesa Tactical units. I have never mounted (or had the need to mount) anything on both sides of the rail...so I just used the one the came with the unit.

Mesa also makes an "extended" length rail that is a little over 3" long if you need the extra rail space compared to the shorter, 2" section.

Thanks so much for all the info. I probably wont need double rails either, just nice to know if I wanted to I have the option.

+1 For the Mesa. Everything that I have of thiers is top quality gear that can take some abuse.

I had this same question a while back and the deciding factor was that the Mesa has the QD sling swivel attachment on on either side. That way you have your rail/light on one side and a built in sling attatchment on the other... saves a little money killing two birds with one stone...

I have the MOD-C w/ a 3-slot rail. Happy with it thus far. The BMT clamp on their website may be more what you're looking for.

+1 again for Mesa, I have one of their clamps and it is solid. No experience with CDM Gear or Nordic Components but I have heard great things about both.

Im leaning more towards to the CDM Mod-C now that Ive been shown that, bc it has a spot to hold the flashlight really tight in on the barrel, and a tac rail on the other side, just in case haha

I know I'm a couple months late, but I just happened upon this thread in my own search for a light attachment for me 870. I ordered the CDM last night. It looks sweet. Mounts plus had a pretty nice deal that included a surefire. You save a couple bucks buying the package. They offer it with about 6 lights. CDM has been out of stock for months. I've had a backorder for a buddy of mine with Mountsplus for about a month now.
