I have a Savage 12FV in .243. It has the slower twist that all savages have. My gun would not shoot the 95 gr Nosler Ballistic tips at all. They were all over the place with both IMR 4064 and IMR 4320. It will shoot the Hornady 87gr V-Max very well with both powders. I have heard some Savages will shoot the 105's if pushed fast enough. Before I try those I have been thinking about trying the 95gr SMK. Has anyone shot this bullet with any luck, or would I be better off sticking with the 87gr?

My savage predator shoots the 95 vld (both target and hunting) very well. stabil at all ranges. I have not shot 105/107 class bullets in it. I have another 8twist, barrel that is very good with the 105's, I would think you will like them. 9.25 twist in the Savages I think.
